Most people like to say that ''the new year means nothing'' or '' It's just another day.'' But it's not a normal day though, to me it's different. It's a chance to start fresh, not for others, but yourself. Physically, mentally, spiritually, and so much more. I don't like to think of it as a resolution, I like to call it a "Lifestyle Improvement.'' We could all use that especially us young girls and women. With that being said, I give to you...GIRL TALK SERIES: GROWING IN 2021!
1. Try to think of all the positive 2020 brought (take your time)
Even though 2020 had been a hard year for everyone, but if you are still here breathing something at least OKAY has happened to you. When I reflected on my year the last week of 2020 I realized my year wasn't as bad as it seemed. I've been trying new things, quarantine showed me to start working out the issues I've been avoiding, and I never would have before COVID-19. Those are just some things.
So take this time right now to think, and I mean take your time. Slowly, you will start realizing a few positive things have happened to you. Doing this will make you feel better going into 2021 with a positive mindset. If you start this year like that, then girl, you're already ahead of the game.
2. Make Routines.
By routines I mean, morning routines, night routines, skincare routines, etc. By making a routine it's like an automatic mini schedule set for your day. Fit in whatever other events need to be put in, Now that you have routines that you follow you are now making sure that you are being active in some type of way.
Make sure when you make your routines that fits you. By that I mean, make one that has you being productive, but also not stressing you out. For example, chile, it took me like 3 different morning routines to actually find one I like. So, just take your time making routines for whatever part of your day/night is too chaotic or lazy.
3. Workout
Working out has never had a negative. (at least I don't think) Whether you want to lose weight, gain weight, tone up. exercising can be fun...luv. One of my goals this year is to work out regularly. I never work out long enough to form a habit. Everyone always feels the best when they're their most confident self.
Yes, I know everyone's confidence doesn't come from how you look, but to be honest with yourself nowadays it plays a huge factor for some people. Most people actually. If you don't even reach your goal, but you are working towards it; You'll already feel so much better. REMINDER: Yes, when you workout you are supposed to push your body's limits, but don't over do it, please listen to your body.
4. Meditation
I use to think that meditation was stupid and didn't do anything, until last year when my dance coach would make us meditate every day before starting class. At first, I'd just sit there with my eyes closed then one day I decided to actually try. In the beginning, it was hard, but then I started to notice changes. Changes that I wanted to keep. From then on, now I meditate around 10 - 15 minutes a day.
When you meditate it feels like you've escaped any of you're issues that you've been having. You can transport your mind to any place that you want to go to. Taking breathes and just slow life around you down, so that you can charge up. Once you're done, you open your eyes, and stretch; you will feel relieved, energized, and ready to take on whatever the day brings.
So, we have come to an end of today's blog and I know I've been gone for a long time, but this year I plan to try my hardest not to miss any uploads. I hope you enjoyed it and that some of my advice could help you. With that being said I WILL SEE YOU ARE IN THE NEXT ARTICLE!!!!! <3
