GOING BACK TO HIGH SCHOOL CLASSES IN QUARANTINE!

Who would have thought that when we went on spring break we wasn't ever going back to school? So this is what we doing 2020?

As we all know 2020 has hit use with so many curve balls that we can't even handle it. Now with school starting in August/ September most of us are attending online. I'm like 89% not satisfied with that and i'll explain why, just keep on reading.

Never in my 16 years of living did I think that I would do online school. When I was first told I was possibly doing school online I was extremely upset. If I'm not mistaken most teenagers would want to do school in person to see their friends and etc. For me, one of my main reasons why I didn't want to do online learning is because I have to take physics this year and I am definitely not excited about that.

Don't get me wrong I fully understand why this has to happen. Covid-19 cases has risen rapidly so as expected they should haven't 1000+ teenagers in the same building together.  I just know that it's going to be so weird to wake up and get ready just to go sit down at a laptop and stare at a screen all day, Monday- Friday.

3 GOOD THING /  3 NOT SO GOOD THINGS EXPECTED FROM ONLINE CLASSES

                                                           3 GOOD THINGS

1. Lower Chance of Getting Corona-virus.
   - Schools tend to have 1000+ students. Even with highest level of protection there is, it would be kind of impossible to even have just a low amount of cases. I saw this one post on Instagram and it said "How do they expect schools that can't even keep soap in the machine and hand dryer working to keep crazy teenage kids from getting the virus." That is exactly my point, so I would rather stay at home where I know that i'm safe, other than the uncertainty of going to school.

2. Pace
  - There is so many kids in one class whenever we are at school, there is no way the teacher will stop instruction just to help one person catch up. Now i'm not saying that they will with online school, but you're kind of working at your own pace and it would be so much better for when your learning something a bit harder. therefore, a better grade could come from it.

3. Anti-Social Dream
   - This one only goes for anti-social more introverted people. Didn't you hate those moments at school when you had to interact with people other than your friends? like maybe for a group project, presentation, or whatever and it would be super awkward. You know that moment when you realize you don't have a pencil and you have to sit there and work up the courage for the longest to be able to ask for one. Now, we won't have to deal with that, the worst is probably turning your camera on for a class and that will bring me to another point.

                                                     3 NOT SO GOOD THINGS

 1. Not Seeing My Friends On The Regular
   - Yes, I know that I can just see some of my friends outside of school with a little help of social distancing. We all have the friends that we don't see outside of school and don't even have any intentions of doing so. Even though i'm not close to those friends of mine, I still don't want to lose a connection with him or her.

2. Being On Camera
  - As stated already, I am (somewhat) anti- social and a shy individual. I don't like to be on camera unless I want too. I've watched a few online back to school videos and ALL of them said that their teacher makes them be on camera. I really don't like that and don't want too, but if I have to I guess I will.

3. Harder Assignments
   - Even though there are definitely hard assignments in school. I am more of a face to face learner or else something else will catch my attention. As I said before, I will for sure not be a fan of taking physics, which I have never taken...before ever. Last year, even my chemistry teacher warned us that it was going to be very hard, but that is where the ( pace ) I was talking about comes in.

This is where we come to an end. Lastly, I want to know your opinions on virtual learning and what you think about it. Let me know in the comments and let's starts a conversation.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Starting a blog is nothing easy, but I took it up on myself start one. In this article you're reading right now I will  be discussing things about me, such as my passion for writing, what I like to write about, my age, hobbies, and digging a little deeper into my personal life. The overall topic that will surround this blog is things all teens can relate too, which is a wide range. For example, I can talk about friend issues, boy/girl things, mental illness with teens, and social media. psst, TikTok!

 About Me

That girl up there  in that picture is pretty cute, huh? Anyways, that's me and I'm a 16 year high school student. I live in Houston, Texas but I was born in Mississippi.  I lived there until I was about eight.

I guess next I should tell you some of my hobbies. For one, I LOVE MUSIC! All things and parts of the music world is amazing to me and I really want get more into it. Singing is most definitely one of my passions. Secondly, I do dance, I'm actually on the dance team for my school called the raiderettes. I mainly dance Hip hop and Majorette, but I would love to learn other dance styles. Another thing, acting! Acting is such a fun thing to do. I love how you can become someone else for a few moments. I'm in the theater group for my school as well. I have other hobbies that will arise as we go.  I'm in love with writing, but  there will be a whole section dedicated to it!

HOW I STARTED WRITING

As I said before, I love singing, which comes along with song writing. I would say that was my first start to writing. I was eight years old when when I wrote my first song, and let me tell you, YIKES! That song was so bad, but that a different story for a different day.  So, of course with my eight year old state of mind I told a story. In between the ages of eight and twelve my mom would by me these journals and diary. As expected I would always write in them and I think that is when I feel in love with writing.

At twelve when I wrote my first real song I started taking writing seriously. So fast forward to around thirteen, I go into K pop and not even going to lie I was sadly, obsessed at the time. I had just started reading watt pad books and recently getting into k pop, so of course, fan-fictions. I wrote like four of them. From then on all I did was write.

ENJOY!

It's going to be a crazy and fun ride. As was stated before this blog will have a huge variety of things to talk about. I hope you all enjoy my content that I give out. Trust me I won't disappoint. Thank you for even just viewing  my blog now and there is much more in store.
